Ascend’s 2023 Year in Review

2023 was an exciting year for Ascend as we saw more of our ambitions turn into realities. From building industry leading features for agencies, to expanding our technology to serve not only agents but also MGAs and wholesalers, to using customer feedback to improve on what’s already been built, Ascend has had a year full of accomplishments that we can look back on and celebrate.

In 2023 we:

• surpassed 3,000 customers
• released over 100 new features and product improvements
• were named a top 50 Insurtech by CB Insights

A quick recap of some of our top highlights of last year:

Launching automated carrier payables

No longer worry about carrier payables. Without automated payables, we simplified reconciliations by automating all AR and AP processes for pay-in-full or financed policies and provided finance teams transparent reporting and approval rules to ensure on-time, error-free carrier payments.

Improved AMS integrations

We made it even easier to import data from agency management systems like Hawksoft and AMS360 right into Ascend’s dashboard. With our new Import button, easily transfer customer information directly into Ascend’s program creation flow for a seamless experience (and no more double entry!).

Launched MGA and wholesaler product

We wanted to not only make it easier for agencies to transact with their insureds but also make it easier for MGAs and wholesalers to transact with their trading partners. Ascend now helps agencies, MGAs, and wholesalers streamline payments, reconciliation, and financing all into one easy workflow.

Alongside these, we also:

• Expanded loan term flexibility to a wider situation of endorsements, pay schedules, loan lengths etc.
• Continued improvement to our dashboard to show previews of emails sent, payout timing, and other important information
• Improved cancellations flows to make it easier to know unearned commissions, refunds, etc.
• Launched the payables tab where teams can approve, review, and edit carrier payables and commission payouts
• Created a quick quote financing calculator for producers to get loan terms on-the-go
• and so much more!
